Spicy Arrabiata Penne
A spicy Italian pasta dish featuring penne in a garlicky tomato sauce with chili flakes and fresh basil, finished with Parmigiano-Reggiano.

Steps

Bring a large pot of water to a boil and salt it; add penne and cook until al dente, about 9 minutes.

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, warm the olive oil and cook the garlic until fragrant, 1–2 minutes.

Add the chopped tomatoes, red chilli flakes, italian seasoning, salt and pepper to taste; bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes.

Remove from heat and stir in chopped basil.

Drain the pasta and add to the sauce; toss to coat. Garnish with Parmigiano-Reggiano flakes and more basil; serve warm.
