Big Mac
Classic American beef burger inspired by the Big Mac, featuring two beef patties, cheese, shredded lettuce, onions, pickles, and a homemade three-part bun with a special sauce.
Steps
- 1
Prepare the Big Mac sauce by mixing all ingredients in a bowl, season with salt, and refrigerate until ready to use.
- 2
For the patties, season the minced beef with salt and pepper and form into four balls (about 1/3 cup per ball). Place each on a square of baking paper and flatten into four 15 cm circles. Heat oil in a large skillet over high heat. Cook patties in two batches for 1–2 minutes per side until lightly charred and cooked through. Remove from heat and keep warm. Repeat with remaining patties.
- 3
Slice each burger bun horizontally into three sections and lightly toast.
- 4
To assemble, spread a little Big Mac sauce on the bottom bun; top with chopped onion, shredded lettuce, a slice of cheese, a beef patty, and some pickle slices. Add the middle bun layer, spread with more sauce, onion, lettuce, pickles, and patty; finish with more sauce and the top bun.
- 5
Let the assembled burgers rest for about 30 minutes before serving.
