Heat a medium pan over medium heat and add the tomatoes and water; as they begin to warm, dice the chorizo and shred the cabbage.

Add the chorizo, cabbage, chilli flakes, and chickpeas to the pan; crumble in the stock cube. Stir well, cover, and simmer on high heat for about 6 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender. Ladle into bowls with crusty garlic bread.
