
Air Fryer Patatas Bravas
Crispy air-fried potatoes served with a spicy tomato sauce and fresh basil.

Step 1: Soak potatoes in just-boiled water for 30 minutes, then drain and air-dry for 5 minutes. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C 200 °C · 392 °F · Gas 6 · Medium heat. Toss the potatoes with 1 tablespoon of oil and 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper; coat evenly. Transfer to the air fryer basket and cook for about 25 minutes until crisp and golden.

Step 2: Meanwhile, heat the remaining oil in a small pan over medium-low heat and sauté the onion for 8–10 minutes until softened. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute, then stir in the paprika and cook for 30 seconds more. Stir in the tomato purée, cook for 1 minute, then add the chopped tomatoes. Cook for about 5–10 minutes over medium heat until slightly thickened.

Step 3: When the potatoes are cooked, transfer them to a platter and pour over the tomato sauce. Sprinkle with the basil leaves and serve.
