
Empanadas
Beef empanadas with a flaky dough and savory filling of onion, ground beef, olives and spices, baked until golden.

Make the dough: In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Add butter and blend with your fingers until crumbly. Gradually add water and mix until a smooth dough forms. Wrap and chill for 30 minutes.

Prepare the filling: Cook onions in a pan until translucent. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Stir in cumin and paprika, then remove from heat. Once cooled, mix in eggs and olives.

Assemble: Roll out the dough and cut into circles. Place a spoonful of filling on each circle, fold over, and seal the edges.

Cook: Bake at 200°C 200 °C · 392 °F · Gas 6 · Fuego medio (400°F 204 °C · 400 °F · Gas 6 · Fuego alto) for 20-25 minutes, or until golden.
